Near the heavenly Lake Vembanad in Kerala was the upcoming project site of Hotel Taj Vivanta. Concerned about the potential ecological impacts, team TerraNero undertook the baseline ecology and biodiversity studies in the core as well as buffer area where lies the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to several intriguing species, including the Oriental Darter, Painted Stork, Racket-tailed drongo among others, not to forget the smooth-coated otter, attracting a good number of tourists.
