A detailed ecology-biodiversity and socio-economic survey was conducted in several districts of Upper Assam and Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh. The team was thrilled by sightings of Hoolock Gibbons and found evidence of elephant presence in several locations. The social team interacted deeply with the Nocte tribe of Arunachal and Mising and Deori tribes of Upper Assam apart from getting a deeper insight into the lives of the non-tribal Upper Assam villagers.
